The fund-raising meeting held yesterday evening revealed that matters about the charity dinner show are moving as planned. The song ‘Make a Difference’ has been recorded after a few sessions of practices. Rotarians can sing!
The sales of the dinner tickets, though not quite expected to sell like hot cakes, are slowly reaching 70. But the
higher-priced tables remain unsold. The strategy now is to target at the RM3,000 tables. It may not be possible to sell table by table at this stage. Individual sales are encouraged. We could sell ticket by ticket and then put the guests together at tables. If we could hit 80 tables, we’ll be more comfortable. Please help to sell in this last leg of the charity dinner show and fund-raising.
I would like to say this again. This is a club event. It is not confined to a core group of people. What you’re doing is really doing something for the club. I hope you could bear this mind.
I can promise you that it’ll be an evening of fun. HRH of Selangor has confirmed that he will not be in attendance. Our DG and perhaps the President of MPPJ will be the VIPs. Without the dignitaries, it would make the atmosphere less formal and guests could mingle more freely.
The next two weeks will be crucial in tidying up things before the grand finale.
PENNY AND I WISH ALL MEMBERS A HAPPY 2009. AND TO THOSE CHRISTIAN MEMBERS, A MERRY X’MAS
